Have you heard of the NCCPA proposed changes to certification for our profession?

From Jenna Dorn, CEO of AAPA:

I want to direct you to the homepage of the AAPA website where you’ll find a new feature: AAPA News Center: NCCPA’s PANRE Proposal, which was launched today. This section will serve as a home for regular updates on the unfolding situation as well as a repository of AAPA actions, correspondence, background information and resources to help all PAs inform themselves about the NCCPA’s proposal and its implications for the profession.

Also, below are links for AAPA review of NCCPA's proposal.

You don't need to pass a test to prove your competency delivering good medical care every six or ten years. The people in the power to make such decisions need to get down on the ground floor to see what the real working people are doing. I would rather have experience than book knowledge having to go by protocols and so would my patients.

My assessment of the literature concurs with that of AAPA.
